Swan LNG is developing a state-of-the-art LNG port terminal at Jafrabad, Gujarat, a high-capacity, future-ready facility designed to support India’s growing clean-energy demand. As India aims to raise natural gas’s share of its energy mix from 6.5% to 15% by 2030, the terminal will play a pivotal role in expanding access to cleaner, more reliable fuel.
Strategically located on the Jafrabad coast in Amreli district of Gujarat, the terminal offers strong access to global trade routes and seamless connectivity to key industrial corridors. Built to global standards, it features a cutting-edge Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) that ensures efficient, safe, and resilient LNG receipt, storage, regasification, and distribution.
Designed as a future-ready LNG terminal with an initial regasification capacity of 5 MMTPA, expandable to 10 MMTPA, to meet growing energy demand. The availability of a deep draft channel allows accommodation of all classes of vessels, including Q-Max LNG carriers, Panamax, Suezmax, and VLCC vessels, enhancing its position as a strategic gateway for global energy trade. The world-class marine infrastructure includes a jetty with gas pipelines, utilities, and roadway access; a dedicated unloading platform for LNG carriers and FSRUs; integrated berthing and mooring systems; and comprehensive fire and safety systems for secure operations.
Commissioning of the terminal is targeted for 2027, marking a significant step toward strengthening India’s gas infrastructure and energy security.
